Going Down to South Park.....

Melissa and I went to Fairplay to meet her cousin and family from Florida for some good old fashioned Horse Back riding. Jennifer decided not to go, something about shoe shopping. In 0ur usual fashion, we were running late. Believe it or not, Melissa is actually just as bad or worse than me when it comes to getting somewhere on time. Once we got close we called to let them know we were running late, due to traffic ... wink, wink. They decided that instead of waiting for us they were going to meet us in Fairplay. So we hauled donkey to Fairplay, running about 30 minutes late, but making up good time along the way thanks to my heavy foot. We were feeling bad about making them wait for us as got close. Melissa's cousin called just as we pulled into town to ask us if they would have had to go through the tunnels to get to Fairplay then there phone went dead. I guess I should have told you they were staying in Breckenridge. If you are not familiar with Fairplay's location, it is about 20 miles straight south of Breckenridge on Hwy 9/Mainstreet. We thought they must be joking. Well no, turns out they had taken a wrong turn somewhere & were bacically in Georgetown on I-70 or about half way to Fort Collins.
Hmmm, what to do ?
If you have never been to Fairplay, it is about a block this way and a block that way. This is were Melissa and I got to spend about 2 hours exploring.

It is a beautiful there with 14'ers all around.

Yep, that's a dinosaur.

We had alot of time on our hands.

We went down to SOUTH PARK, but it was closed. Didn't see any friends of mine.

Two stops at the coffee shop and
they got there! YEEEHAAAAAA!

I am a country boy & I have a shirt to prove it

We're riding horses baby!

I learned that I suck at taking pictures of myself while riding a horse.

Melissa's horse Ginger, who by the way hated my horse. She would try and kick my horses ass evertime we came near.

AWEEEE

B-rad & Texas, I like Texas
WAIT...What is Texas doing?

My horses ass!

I am not sure what Texas is trying to say here.....

We got snow and shit

So it is snowing, Melissa sent her lackey to Albertson's to get us grub(frozen pizza), but in the name of being "PC" we had to get cheese pizza to accommodate Jennifer's eating trend of the week. Who doesn't like PEPPERONI? Yeah, I like my cardboard plain, with no taste please. It is hard to find good help. We tried to send the lackey back to get hot chocolate, which Jennifer said I could melt Hersey Kisses and milk.. poormans Swiss Miss, but we after about three second we requested booze instead, still waiting. We got the "99.9999999% sure not leaving the house".... "so your saying we have a chance?" Anyway, I LIKE SNOW!

the 2009 GREAT BLARNEY STONE

Last Sunday, I was brought into the world of SCAVENGER HUNTING. I guess I am slow, but it turns out that Kiss 96.1 FM, has been hiding this little stone all over northern Colorado for the last 3 weeks. They give you clues three times each day, that "help" you find it. The kicker is that it if you find it you win $1000. I got a call from Erin late last Sunday night because B-rett & Erin need my mad skills to help them find the stone. I guess they spent all day looking around Buckingham Park in Fort Collins. I took a quick look at the clues with said "Mad Skills" and pinpointed Windsor Lake. B-rett wanted to go, I was like it a SCHOOL NIGHT, but being the big push over I am & seeing $$$ in my head, at 10:30pm we headed to Windsor armed with flashlights & a mission. Turns out we bascially stood on the stone, but couldn't see do to it being like midnight and such. By the time we left, the cops had arrived, but B-rett scared them off.

Since no one found the stone for the week, they doubled up the money to $2000.00 and hid it somewhere anew. So Erin gathered up the clues & we tried to put it together. Wednesday night we combed through Fort Collins Fossil Creek Park. That place is huge. Thursday we thought we had it down to Stargazer Park where the Observatory is. While there, two guys told us that someone found the frick'en stone at the Harmony Transportation Center at I-25. Lame, because we were so close in Windsor the week before. Lame, because I was already beginning to spend the money in my head.

ST. PATRICKS DAY

So Jen & I got roped into walking in the St. Patricks Day Parade with Melissa's company.
I wasn't very excited about having to get up early on Saturday morning, but being the BA that I am, I got up & we went down to Old Town. We stood around for about an hour, then we gathered up a huge load of balloons, a bag of candy and were off to the STAGING AREA. Where we stood around for another hour. Then we were off at a snails pace.
Looking Good

Looking Real Good!

So for the first half a block or so, we were CELEBRITIES.
People, kids & adults alike, were cheering for us as they wanted a balloons and candy.
Who knew that free old/stale candy and balloons would make people go so insane.
By the time we hit College we had given out all the balloons and most of the candy.
We had no idea how many people actually attended this thing.
We had barely started the parade and we were out of swag.
We sent team member into City Drug for more candy, so we would have something to pass out.

I felt stupid just walking, not giving out anything. Some kid ask me for my shirt. Weird.

Any Candy Left?

Just before the car broke down, we had to push it part of the way.
The crowd loved us pushing the car.
Plus, it took away from the fact that we had nothing for them.

Bag Pipers
Oh yeah, Erin was there. This is just after they ask me to stop my RIVER DANCING.

GO TEAM!

It was actually a good time, for a good cause.........

THE BIG Oh, ORLANDO

I made back from my quick business to trip to ORLANDO, FLORIDA.
So I saw Jackie, she was really excited to see me. We went out to eat at a Chinese Restaurant. It was pretty entertaining. We had some "Feer-goud" Saki that made us feel good. The waitstaff was actually saying "Filtered" but we had a hard time understanding her. You should've heard her say "HASSLE". After dinner Jackie drove us to the nearest Liquor Store, clearly we needed more to drink. All though dinner she kept referencing the time, "Look at the time" and then headed home as quickly as possible. I think she had a really good time.
I would like to send a special shout out to AirTran(has anyone actually heard of this airline?) for forgetting they needed a gate for ALL there flights, thus letting us sit on the tarmack for 25 minutes and making me yet again run through ATLANTA airport to catch my flight. Which I made again, because of my mad running skills. I did receive complementary wings for my troubles. I gave pair to Jennifer, she seemed unimpressed(last time I bring her presents from Florida{wait, maybe she wasn't impressed because she is from Florida....hmmm}).

My co-worker kept getting so drunk that the hotel gave him a Seatbelt for his bed.
