The lights went out and Freddie Cruger knocked at my window.

It looks as though SANTA stayed a little to long at the ole Bear Creek Manor, but who could blame him.

We were at Home Depot in Parker yesterday evening when practically the whole town went dark, no power. Home Depot doesn't really strike me as the safest place to be in the dark. So we left and headed north, with the rest of Parker, to find somewhere with power so we could eat(can't cook with no power). Luckily by the time we ate and had a few drinks the power was back on and we had heat, -10 is cold.

Then around 1:30 am I was awakened to the sound of scratching/scraping on the window. This can freak you out a little when you've been sleeping. I got up, peeked out the blinds and all I could see was the sillouet of these two giant pointed ears. You really can't make this shit up. After saying WHAT THE F*#K atleast three possibly four times, I slowly open the blinds wider to reveal a deer standing, staring directly into the window. It turns out that the deer was chewing on some rose bushes planted right outside my window and everytime it would let go, the bush would smack up against the window thus making the scraping sound. So no nightmare on elm street, just getting back to nature in good old P-town.
Merry Christmas Y'ALL

Dude you have to watch out for those deer -- they can't be trusted. Okay, that's just scary. I would have flipped out. But I'm a wimp.

Sounds like you had an eventful xmas...where are you anyway? We thought you'd be back at the BCM yesterday.
